The family of Jackleen Lane said she told them she was going to the Shelby County Fair on Saturday, but never called or came home.

"She was so free spirited that, when she didn't call, figured she was having fun with her friends and forgot," said Josh Lane, Jackleen's brother. "I should have never let her go."

While police were trying to figure out who was in the water 50 feet below the train tracks at 1st and Goodman Monday, Josh said he was out searching for his little sister with no idea until, "people was saying they found a body in the creek. They found a body in the creek. It was like a big knot in my stomach. Next thing you know detectives came and talked to me, showed me pictures. It was my sister."

Jackleen's mother described her as an outgoing leader.
