Wine selections using a "barbell" approach with reliable favorites on one end, and esoteric gems on the other. This strategy gives customers a proper balance of familiarity and stimulation amongst the bottles!
At The Wine Rack, we appreciate great beer as much as we love outstanding wines. We currently stock over 100 beers from all over the globe. We carry a wide assortment of craft brews, focusing on local and regional standouts. Also in the cooler are top notch beers from around the world; including many of the best from Belgium, Germany, Holland, England and Mexico.
Because wine & food is such a natural combination, we bring both to you under one roof. We round things out in the store with a great selection of local cheeses, spreads, olives, salami, tapenades & other delicious antipasta! We also carry wonderful frozen pastas & pizzas from Lotsa Pasta, & and world class artisan breads from Blue Dog Bakery of Louisville.

The Wines: We are dedicated to providing high quality selections from around the globe at competitive prices. Our goal is to cheerfully supply our customers with a compelling mix of core attractive wines with high availability, and esoteric gems which are off the beaten path. In both areas, value is key. The wine must carry a high quality/price ratio, whether it is a $5 bottle or a $50 luxury. Owner and Sommelier, John H. Johnson, personally selects the vast majority of bottles sold
The Beers: The Wine Rack carries a variety of brews, from reliable favorites of local and regional craft breweries to the finest imports. We strive to serve the beer drinker who actually wants to taste his/her beer. We regularly offer seasonal and special selections to keep things interesting in the cooler.
The Foods: The majority of our food selection is dedicated to high quality, locally made products. Receiving prime focus are cheeses from Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese, Lotsa Pasta frozen pastas and pizzas, Capriole Cheeses and Luna Mercato spreads. We also offer fresh baguettes from Blue Dog Bakery and soups from Paul's Deli. To round things out, we provide antipasta items such as olives and salami.
The Spirits: The Wine Rack offers a variety of spirits for your enjoyment. We stock bourbons, vodkas, rums, tequilas, and gins ranging from great value to super premium. We carry some of the finest, hard to find bourbons on the planet.
