LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - If you're looking to add a member to your family the Kentucky Humane Society is hoping you will stop by! This week they are featuring two cuddly cuties that are up for adoption!

Kisser, is a 5-year-old cat who loves attention, a ear scrathes. Kisser has yellow eyes and white spots on his body, chest, paws and face. He is already neutered, micro chipped and his vaccinations are up-to-date. If you would like to see Kisser he is at the Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive.

Mikey is a sweet 1-year-old who has been through a lot in her short life. She and 13 other dogs were taken to the shelter after as a part of an animal hoarding case. Of those 14 dogs, eight were heartworm positive and three had vision issues. Mikey is both heartworm positive and cannot see very well, but she has been treated for heartworms, and her limited vision doesn't slow her down.

New Albany, In., February 28, 2013 — The New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter will participate in World Spay Day, an international campaign of The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International, to promote the life-saving benefits of spay/neuter, when it hosts  a SPAY NOW OR STAY STUPID! event on Thursday, February 28, 2013. During this event, the NAFC Animal Shelter will be altering thirty cats for FREE! Preregistration is required, and is limited to Floyd County residents with proof of income under 30k per year. Limits on the numbers of available spaces for males and females will be in place. All cats will receive a rabies vaccination and license if needed for a fee of  $5.
