Closure of Interstate 64 in Shelby County rescheduled for June 18-20

LOUISVILLE, KY – Due to heavy rains on Monday evening, the demolition of the old KY 55 bridge over Interstate 64 in Shelby County was postponed. This work has been rescheduled for June 18-20.

Interstate 71 lane closures in Henry County scheduled for June 20-28

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of lane closures on Interstate 71 in Henry County. KYTC staff will be inspecting the Interstate 71 bridges over the CSX railroad (mile point 32.3). Lane closures will be necessary for equipment and access to these structures.

Closure of Interstate 64 in Shelby County scheduled for June 17-19

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 Office advises motorists that Interstate 64 in Shelby County will be closed next week for demolition of the old KY 55 bridge over the interstate. A new KY 55 overpass has been built as part of the I-64 widening project from the welcome center to ½ mile east of KY 55 (mile points 27.9 to 32.8).

Work continues on Kennedy Bridge

LOUISVILLE, KY - Work on the Kennedy Bridge will continue this weekend with some lane closures beginning Friday, June 14. Two of the three southbound lanes of I-65 will be affected. The work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Friday, with lanes reopening by 5 a.m. Monday.

LOUISVILLE ,KY - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists of the northbound US 31 in Jefferson County will be reduced to one lane across the Clark Memorial Bridge (mile points 0.0 to 1.1) due to electrical work.

From KYTCLOUISVILLE, KY - Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.
